SheIn -Your Online Fashion Black&White Dress

Adding another string to my bow…

Here’s my wardrobe philosophy: start with your basics, then add, add, add. Spend as much as you can afford to get the best quality basics you can and they’ll last for years. Then add, add, add seasonal, less expensive pieces to have a look that is always on trend. Ok, so let’s talk about these basics. How to get them right and where to get them from. I’ve fallen. Fallen hard. For a brand you’ve probably heard me mention before, but perhaps not one you’re likely to immediately associate with basics like tops, pants and dresses. It’s Intimo, and I’ve just registered as an Intimo stylist! Meaning you can now contact me (lily.thestylishteacher@gmail.com) for all things Intimo! If you’ve already experienced Intimo, you won’t need me to tell you all about the quality and the altogether amazing-ness that is finding your feel good fit (but I will if you want me to – that’s why I signed up!). However, you may be unaware (as I was) of the different ways to get your hands on Intimo pieces. YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAVE A PARTY! Is that music to your ears? Does it take the pressure off? As a personal stylist, I’m used to working one on one with a client. As an Intimo stylist I’m excited about continuing to work one on one with clients to provide a really personal experience. YOU CAN HAVE A PARTY! Want to invite the girls over for bubbles and fashion? Bring it! KNOW YOUR SIZE ALREADY? You can email or call me with your order. So, so easy. But, back to these basics....

The Classic Wrap Shirt – Three Ways

What do you look for in a wardrobe investment piece? Quality? Versatility? Wow factor? Timelessness? A garment that fits and flatters so well that you can’t bear to leave the boutique without it? The Classic Wrap Shirt ($279.00) from Living Silk has all of that in spades. Let’s talk quality – it’s 100% silk – which means if you look after it you’ll be wearing it for the next 20 years or more! As for versatility, I’ve styled and tied this shirt three different ways for three very different looks – (the ever elusive) smart casual, corporate and evening. Smart Casual I’ve worn the classic wrap shirt here over ripped white jeans with heels. I’ve also tied this shirt at the front. Now, of course you could also wear flats with this look too. Corporate To take this shirt to work, I’ve worn it tied at the back over a black pencil skirt with simple black heels. You could also wear it over some tailored pants if pencil skirts are not your thing. Evening This look is perfect for special events. You’ll notice I’ve tucked the shirt in this time and added some sparkly earrings and heels (and champagne!). Now, the fit. This shirt is true to size. I usually wear a 10-12/M in tops and in the images above I’m wearing a medium. The wonderful thing about this wrap style is that you can tie it as tightly or loosely as you’re comfortable with, so you know you’re going to find your perfect fit. This shirt is well worth popping into Living Silk’s Brisbane boutique (La Trobe Tce, Paddington) for. Do yourself...
