#wishlistwednesday – The Birthday Edition

So, it’s not actually my birthday until the weekend. Great news darling husband! This means you’ve got heaps of time to pick up ANY (or all, I’m easy going like that) of these pieces, ensuring your wife (AKA me) has a really happy birthday come Sunday. But enough about me, I’m sure you’re going to love these too…   Classic Wrap Shirt – Berry This classic wrap shirt from Living Silk is the epitome of sophistication and elegance.  It is perfect for wearing to all your special events, but is versatile enough to wear to work or even with jeans for a super chic casual look. Yes, it is expensive at $279, but silk of this quality lasts forever – it is truly worth the investment.   Riptide White Jeggings I am a sucker for white jeans, and I have been dying to try on these Riptide Jeggings from Little Party Dress to see if they really are as comfy as they look! You can pick up a pair for yourself for a mere $55.95.   http://m.mimco.com.au/shop/accessories/watches/60192307-1/KINETICA-TIMEPEACE.html I have been lusting after this Kinetica Timepiece ($249) from Mimco for months. I love the simple, no fuss, classic design and how great is it that is has the day and date on the face?!   http://www.seedheritage.com/p/madison-over-the-knee-boot/2098097-59-36-se.html#start=1 I love these Madison Over The Knee Boots from Seed. They’re $279, but are reduced by 30% at the moment – run don’t walk!   http://www.freez.com.au/product.php?productid=12187&cat=76&page=1 This adorable Chambray Shift dress from Freez is a steal at $49. I’m already picturing myself teaming it with those boots I showed you above!   LA Lily...

The Sisterhood of the Travelling Gift

Do you love giving people gifts? What’s not to love – shopping, wrapping, the joy you bring to others – it’s fabulously fun. So when I found out about The Sisterhood of the Travelling Gift – Christmas in July I knew I wanted to join in straight away. If you haven’t heard of #tsottg, allow me to back track a little. The girls behind this idea are Barbe (@fashionista_in_suburbia), Andrea (@icadoo) and Zoe (@aquirkybird) who originally met through an event organised by Fox in Flats. Basically you’re partnered up with a ‘secret sister’ to buy a gift for within a $30 budget. You’re given a questionnaire to answer so that your ‘sister’ has clues regarding your likes, dislikes etc. I love how Zoe described this initiative as a ”virtual hug” and Andrea explained it as something ”to put some smiles on secret sisters faces”. To be honest, I had enough feel good vibes simply from the giving side of this activity. But then – BONUS – my gift arrived from the lovely Shari (@goodfoodweek), who chose to identify herself instead of remaining a ‘secret sister’ (and I’m so glad she did so I could thank her!). Following on from all this gift giving, Alida and I decided to make this week’s theme for #wearwithuswednesday Gifted Fashion. So of course I wore my beautiful scarf from Shari. Did you join in #tsottg? Or #wearwithuswednesday this week? I’d love to hear about your experience in the comments below… Lily...
