Is it just me, or is life crazy busy at the moment? Between work and family I have extra-curricular activities galore and the beginnings of a cold to contend with.
When this happens, what I’m going to wear takes a back seat to pretty much everything else and I resort back to my tried and true wardrobe basics.
Then, if I have a second to spare before I run out the door I’ll add a little something to lift my mood. It might be a piece of clothing that fits perfectly, a colour I love or a fabulous accessory.
Here are a few pieces that I wore this week that made me happy.
- The back detail and the shape of this top from SheInside sets it apart from others in my wardrobe – it’s fitted at the bust and then flares at the waist to create a flattering look.
2. This necklace from Kayelle is so very me. I love the colours and symmetrical design and it’s ability to transform a plain top. It’s the perfect accessory to add at the last minute when you’re short on time.
3. I created this ‘dress’ with two separate pieces – the convertible dress and smoothing top both from Intimo. I’ve worn the dress as a strapless dress – I love the length when it’s worn strapless – but, I don’t like showing too much shoulder. My answer? Pop the smoothing top on underneath!
4. This metallic clutch from Atelier Confidentiel adds some sparkle to my outfit below. Who doesn’t need a little sparkle every once in a while?!
