The Teacher’s Wardrobe

I love a good fashion event – and one featuring Sacha Drake’s designs is pretty hard to beat. Earlier this week I was lucky enough to be involved in The Teacher’s Wardrobe – an event organised by @point2pointeducation at Sacha Drake’s Paddington boutique. Amazing pieces from the Solutions Collection were showcased and Brenda (one of the gorgeous Sacha Drake stylists) demonstrated the versatility of these garments, showing how they can easily be worn both in and out of the classroom. I wore four outfits on the night. First up was the Catelyn Convertible Dress. As the name suggests, this dress can be worn in multiple different ways to suit all body shapes. It comes with a tube skirt that can be worn in different positions on the body, a tie that can also be worn in different positions and buttons that can be used in different ways. Next was the 3/4 Sleeve Shirt with the Stretchy Pencil Skirt. I already own both these garments and easily mix and match them constantly with the rest of my wardrobe. I love tying the shirt into a knot or wearing it open over a simple tee. The skirt works beautifully with just about any top and I’ve worn it with both heels and flats. The third outfit I wore was the Deanna Cap Sleeve Dress – the ultimate all rounder. This dress suits all body shapes and bust lines, and my favourite feature of this dress is that it has no side seams to slim the hips! My final outfit for the night was the Solange Loose Fit Jumpsuit. The sleeves can...

This Season’s Favourite Pants: The Jogger

Jogger pants. Have you discovered them yet? No? Joggers are essentially a slim fit pant with an elasticised cuff. What I love about them is that the cuff hits right at the smallest part of your leg – drawing the eye down to the ankle and giving a slimming look. These pants work really well on all body shapes, and particularly well on those of us with bigger thighs. They’re also really easy to dress up with heels and make a great alternative to wearing jeans (read: work appropriate). You can wear a range of different tops with jogger pants too. Because they’re a slim fit, wearing a flowy or oversized top looks great. Or you can pair them with a simple striped tee… One general rule I like to follow is to wear footwear that finishes below the cuff – such as heels, ballet flats or trainers. Check out some of my favourite jogger pants for this season below. Witchery (similar style) Country Road Bellalido Dress Temple Little Lace Boutique How will you wear jogger pants this season? Lily...
